With a participant oriented style, Tara challenges your personal limits and makes modifications to accommodate your specific needs. She enjoys other activities such as gardening, cooking, swimming, hiking and cross-country skiing. When not at the gym, she is to be found at her studio. Tara is a professional artist painting watercolours and a member of the International Guild of Realism.

Travis has shown an appreciation for a healthy active lifestyle from an early age having been involved in a number of competitive sports such as lacrosse, hockey and volleyball. During high school he developed a passion for personal and physical training, which helped him achieve his goals, both on and off the field. After playing Minor and Junior lacrosse with the Orangeville Northmen.
Travis was drafted to the Toronto Rock and also played a number of years with the Wellington Aces. Over the past year he has been traveling overseas gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience as well as completing his masters of teaching degree. Currently Travis is helping coach field lacrosse at a local high school and finishing his thesis on motivation in the classroom.

Sharlene has played soccer for 10 years both on recreational and rep teams and decided to take that passion for sports and fitness and turned it into a career. She studied Kinesiology respiratory and cardiac physiology, injuries, etc. in the fitness program at George Brown College.
Sharlene completed her placement at Pro-Fit in Toronto as a fitness consultant working with sport-specific training techniques where she trained with Gao Hung Ranked #1 female soccer goalie in the world and designed programs for young hockey players. She has 6 years experience as a special needs worker designing and performing exercises as well as occupational therapy for two girls with Joubert's disease. Sharlene joined the ACTS team in 2003 as well as working in town at Sport Medic Physiotherapy clinic putting to practice her knowledge as a physiotherapist's assistant.

Struggling all her life with medical conditions that made it near impossible to put weight on, and in the midst of a difficult personal situation, Kathy was introduced to weightlifting to add size and muscle to her body. It didn’t take her long to see the benefits that healthy living and an active lifestyle had to offer. After several years of training hard, Kathy saw such an improvement that she decided to take it to the next level and started training for Fitness and Figure competitions. She competed in her first competition June 2006 and through hard work and dedication, she continues to train and compete placing well in each competition.

Roxxie's life is sports. She grew up in a home as the oldest of 6 siblings; 3 girls and 3 boys, where being active in sports was encouraged.
Her passion has been demonstrated through having played basketball, volleyball, rugby, soccer, softball, and badminton in high school. Roxxie attended high school in Munster Germany for a semester, where her love for traveling and learning about different cultures was sparked.
Roxxie attended Dodge City community College freshman year on a volleyball scholarship and then transferred after to Friends University in Wichita Kansas. After graduating from university, she worked at the YMCA in Wichita Kansas where her passion for the active lifestyle continued to grow.
Currently, she is involved in a variety of programs at ACTS. The Walking Club; Hockey Treadmill Trainer, Soccer, upcoming trainer for the Weigh2Go program, and coordinating Birthday Parties. Roxxie still plays volleyball 3 times a week, playing in tournaments all over and in the Brampton Volleyball League. She has plans to play beach vollowyball this summer.
"I love to watch and play sports. My life is sports and being active. I love my cat's Pumpkin and Jupiter. They are my babies. I enjoy spending time with friends and my siblings. My intention is to go back to school to play one more year of volleyball and get my graduate degree in Human Resources or Research Analysis. Eventually one day I plan on opening my own gym.
